Dr Jessica McGrath

Dr Jessica McGrath is one of the few private specialists in Paediatric Rheumatology in Queensland, providing expert, compassionate care to children and adolescents with complex rheumatologic conditions. She welcomes referrals across the full spectrum of paediatric rheumatology, with particular expertise in Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis, Juvenile Dermatomyositis, Systemic Lupus Erythematosus, and other autoimmune and autoinflammatory disorders.

Dr McGrath completed her specialist training at Monash Children's Hospital and Queensland Children's Hospital. She has worked as a Paediatric Rheumatologist at Queensland Children's Hospital and Gold Coast University Hospital, where she gained extensive experience managing a broad range of inflammatory and autoimmune conditions in children and adolescents. Dr McGrath also holds admitting rights at Wesley Hospital, enabling continuity of care for her patients requiring inpatient management.

What distinguishes Dr McGrath is not only her depth of clinical expertise, but also her unwavering commitment to patient- and family-centred care. She values strong partnerships with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams, recognising that collaborative, coordinated care is essential to achieving the best possible outcomes. With a focus on personalised management, she provides comprehensive private consultations, tailored treatment plans, and thorough follow-up to support each child’s long-term health and wellbeing.
